Android TV
Talks to Google's own "Android TV Remote v2" protocol over a mutually authenticated TLS connection - no discovery step, added by address from Devices & Services, paired once, then controlled the same way as everything else.
Pairing needs a human to read a PIN off the TV screen and type it back into Athena, so it's a two-step flow rather than the one-tap on-screen prompt LG/ Samsung use. Entities match Samsung's shape: power, mute, volume up/down, input cycling, and a curated app-link list.
A Wake-on-LAN helper turns a fully-slept TV back on - its MAC address is entered once at connect time, since this protocol exposes no way to read it back. Android TV also participates in Athena's unified Media player domain - power only, since that's all this protocol's own reported state supports.
Android TV is Athena's highest-risk TV integration: the protocol is unofficial and unpublished even by Google, reconstructed from documented reverse-engineering rather than a spec, and not verified against a physical Android TV during development. If real-hardware pairing doesn't work for you, that's the one to report.
