Live drive or transit time between two fixed points, for a "when should I leave" style automation or dashboard sensor.

Connecting

Unlike the other Google integrations, there's no sign-in here at all - the Google Maps Platform is billed per API key rather than per signed-in account. Add a "route": a name, your own Google Maps Platform API key, an origin, and a destination.

What you get

Travel time, Travel time (traffic) (accounting for current road conditions), and Distance - kept live and usable the same as any other sensor, in a dashboard card or an automation condition.
